Extractions

Having tooth extractions mean to have it removed, usually because of disease, trauma or crowding. Despite our meticulous efforts to save a tooth, in individual cases extraction is the only choice. We here at Troy Family Dental are committed to providing you the most convenient, pain-free plan possible when faced with extractions.

If you want an extraction, Dr. Boatman or Dr. Spencer will first numb the region to decrease any discomfort. Following the extraction, your dentist will suggest what post extraction regimen to follow. In most circumstances, a small amount of bleeding is common. Your mouth will gradually fill in the bone wherever the tooth root was in the formation of a blood clot.
